Felix leads the project control © at the German civil rights litigation NGO Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte e.V.. Between 2014 and 2019 Felix was a Member of the European Parliament, where he focused his work on the EU copyright directive and the regulation of online platforms. During his time in Parliament he founded the free software auditing project FOSSA.

Felix is a board member of the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany, a Shuttleworth Fellow, and an affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. Felix holds an M.A. in political science and communications science from Mainz University, Germany.
