CEO

Keith Bergelt is the CEO of Open Invention Network (OIN), the largest patent non-aggression community in history, created to support freedom of action in core Linux and adjacent open source technologies. Funded by Google, IBM, NEC, Philips, Sony, SUSE and Toyota, OIN has more than 3,300 community members and owns approximately 1,300 global patents and applications. 

Having previously led two hedge funds, served as a technology advisor for Texas Pacific Group, headed business development, IP, and licensing for the Kelso & Company portfolio company Cambridge Display, and acted as General Manager of the Strategic Intellectual Asset Management business unit at Motorola, he is a frequent speaker on corporate strategy, finance and intellectual property management.
