Lars is co-founder and former Vice President of The Apache Software Foundation, and started contributing to the Apache HTTP Server project in 1996. He is also a member of the ASF Security Team and Press Team. Apart from his involvement with the ASF he is an independent IT consultant based in London with more than 20 years of accumulated expertise in information and security technology. He has worked for companies such as the BBC, Channel 4, Cable & Wireless and Pearson.
